Optimism is starting to grow at Gold Coast that an AFL final berth is possible. The development team has launched a more consistent campaign in 2022, but with action at stake in September, wins against sides like Adelaide will be crucial.

Gold Coast vs Adelaide Betting Tips
Metricon Stadium, Sunday, June 19, 3:20 p.m. (AEST)
Gold Coast
Injuries: Lachie Weller (out), Malcolm Rosas (out), Josh Corbett, Ben King, Jack Lukosius, Rory Thompson, Bodhi Uwland
Lachie Weller will miss the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury, leaving a gap in the Suns’ defense that must be closed quickly.
With a tie at 6-6, the Suns will have a big second half of the season. Consecutive victories at Sydney and Fremantle have been the highlights thus far, while a two-week visit to Darwin before the farewell proved particularly fruitful. Key to Gold Coast’s improvement thus far has been continuity, with Levi Casboult and Mabior Chol delivering consistent performance and the engine room of Touk Miller, Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson getting the job done week by week. Jarrod Witts has also arguably been the best ruckman in the league this year, expertly serving the midfield when returning from injury.
Adelaide
Injuries: Fischer McAsey, Paul Seedsman, Rory Sloane
Adelaide has a relatively healthy list, but Seedsman and Sloane are sorely missed.
The Crows started the season with a lot of promise, but were exposed during a difficult build-up to the bye, losing four of their last five games. The problem Adelaide faces is clear, they just can’t win. Taylor Walker is still too much of a burden to kick pockets full of goals and the little ones just can’t pull it off when the ball hits the ground. On the bright side, many players improved in 2022, led by the likes of Sam Berry, Jackson Hately and Jordon Butts. Jordan Dawson was a smart addition in defense and the Laird/Keays combination was more often than not at its best.
Match Prediction
The Suns have won two of their last three games against the Crows and it’s hard to see them go down in front of a home crowd on Sunday.
There is certainly more advantage to the Queensland-based side, although Adelaide will likely make the best team it has put in the park all year.
As such, I can’t see the margin blowing away in this encounter and I expect the Crows to be in play for quite a bit of the game.
With the line looking a little harsh for the Crows, I’m taking their lead of almost five goals for this game.

Prop Bets
Someone will have to fill the void left by Lachie Weller and I see Ellis getting a boost in usage. He has hit 20 times seven times this season and Adelaide has a tendency to let players collect the ball in the back half.
Brandon Ellis 20+ Divestments ($1.55 at TAB)
Miller will face stiff competition in this market, taking on ball magnets Rory Laird and Ben Keays, but I’m backing the Gold Coast star to come out on top. There is now a lot of mouths to feed in Adelaide’s midfield with Laird, Keays, Crouch, Hately and Berry all playing ball so I could see they share more than Touk needs.
Touk Miller top sales ($3.50 at TAB)
