Al Nasr signs Colombian goalkeeper Ospina

Riyadh – (AFP):
Saudi football club Al-Nasr on Monday announced his contract with Colombian international goalkeeper David Ospina until 2024, in a free transfer deal after his contract with Italy’s Napoli expires.
Al-Nasr said on his Twitter account: “The chairman of the Al-Nasr Club, Mr. Musli Al Muammar, has signed a contract with the goalkeeper of the Colombian national team and its captain, David Ospina, in a free transfer deal, and with a two-year contract and I wish him the best of luck.”
The 33-year-old goalkeeper spent four seasons with Napoli, the first of which was loaned to Arsenal before signing for the southern club, with whom he played a total of 103 games in all competitions, including 81 in the Italian league.
Although he defended Arsenal’s colors for four seasons between 2014 and 2018, Ospina contented himself with playing 70 games with the London team, only 29 of them in the Premier League, after defending Nice in 199 games between 2008 and 2014.
Ospina began his career in 2006 locally with Atlético Nacional, where he stayed until 2008 before starting his journey across the European continent.
Ospina tops the list of most participating players with the Colombian national team after playing 124 games, ahead of famed striker Carlos Valderrama (111 between 1985 and 1998) and current Juventus player, Juan Cuadrado (111).
