Albanian wants to prioritize ‘important relationship’ with Indonesia

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese wants to ensure that the “important relationship” with Australia’s northern neighbors is a priority early in his premiership, said Andrew Clennell, Sky News political editor.

Mr Albanese is traveling today with Foreign Minister Penny Wong to Indonesia to build ties with the country.

“He is going to Jakarta after a phone call with President Joko Widodo before the trip,” Mr Clennell said.
