A little goes a VERY long way in the community arts sector and Craft ACT needs your help to continue amplifying a creative Canberra.
a loved one Craft ACT has been an important part of the local arts community for over 51 years and has always championed a secure future for the creative and essential craftsmen, designers and the public who call Canberra home.
They promote and celebrate excellence and innovation in contemporary craft, not only have they brought beautiful artwork, programs, workshops and exhibitions to the community, but they are also one of Australia’s longest-running membership organizations in the visual arts.
But after a tough few years (you know what we mean), Craft ACT is reaching out to its dedicated members and supporters to raise $20,000 to directly support its affiliated artists, programs and exhibitions – contributing to positive outcomes in the wider community. community.
And at a time when it feels like we’ve stacked so much against us, we shouldn’t underestimate the value of imagination, design thinking and the importance of supporting the creative community.
Do you want to help craft and design continue to transform our world? With three donation options to choose from, there are plenty of ways to shape a handmade and creative future without breaking the bank.
Craft Family (donate $1-499): Don’t underestimate the power of a small donation, with a little bit you can go a long way in the community arts sector.
Future Craft ($500-2,000 donations): Your investment contributes additional money to support the next generation of contemporary artisans and designers through professional development and collaborations.
Major Professional Development Programs ($5,000 donation): This is a special occasion to support a focused professional development program and annual exhibition that will encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, where selected artisans will collaborate with other design disciplines. A curated exhibition will be the culmination of a year-long program of professional and artistic development opportunities and exchanges to forge new directions in the creative industries. The projects resulting from this funding will grow the design craft industry and ensure that the practice of craftsmen and designers continues into the future.
