Carlton will welcome defender Caleb Marchbank against Essendon on Friday night, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has not played senior footy since Round 16, 2019 after suffering several injuries, the most recent of which was an ACL injury sustained in the VFL last year.
Michael Voss announced the news on Tuesday evening during the club’s training session ahead of their grudge match against the Bombers.
Marchbank recently returned through the VFL, after completing a two month block of training.
His return is welcome as the Blues try to resolve their defensive problems two weeks ago following Jacob Weitering’s injury to the AC joint against Collingwood.
