“I was at ‘Top of the Pops’ [the British music television show] and I was told Jennifer Lopez was on her way,” Minogue recalled.
“But she refused to perform unless her dressing room was redecorated. I was specifically told everything had to be white, including the couch. It was quite a thing.”
Minogue says she tried to peek into the room because the star wasn’t there yet, but of course she wasn’t allowed to.
In addition to this surprising brush-up with Lopez, Minogue says she once had a run-in with a particularly handsome Hollywood name at the height of his fame: Lenny Kravitz.
“I lived in London in the 1990s and was lucky enough to have some nice neighbors,” Minogue begins.

The star lived in a beautiful hotel in Notting Hill, the Pembridge Court Hotel, which she reveals ended up living for two years.
“I kept thinking ‘I’ll be home in a minute’,” she jokes.
But one evening she was unexpectedly knocked on the door of her hotel.
“There was a knock on my door and it was late, which was weird because the staff usually just called the room when a package or something needed to be delivered,” Minogue says.
“I opened the door, and there’s Lenny Kravitz!” Listen above to find out what happened next.
As if that moment wasn’t cool enough, in addition to a list of many other encounters with high-profile faces, Minogue also recounts the time she met Princess Diana.

“This was when she just started doing some of these things on her own,” says Minogue, adding that the princess was very “green” for the experience.
“She’s young and beautiful and because she took on this royal role, she wore this super frumpy old outfit,” she adds.
“I thought ‘oh my god, this is what I would expect the Queen to wear, not Diana’,” Minogue recalled.
“This is before she found her fashion mojo, but she was still incredible. I’ll never forget that moment.”
