Escape From Tarkov Arena is a new standalone spin-off

Escape from Tarkov has made a name for itself in the FPS space with its gritty action, looting and extraction settings. Developer Battlestate Games wants to expand the game with the announcement of Escape from the Tarkov Arena an arena-style stand-alone shooter that focuses on “gladiator fights in different arenas of the city of Tarkov”.

The studio notes that Escape from Tarkov’s “hardcore game mechanics” will remain intact, so it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out with an arena format. Which we can get a glimpse of in the next trailer.

Escape from Tarkov Arena is a standalone game project – a session-based multiplayer first-person shooter for PC featuring all the known and beloved hardcore game mechanics from Escape from Tarkov.

Players take part in gladiatorial battles in different arenas of the city of Tarkov, organized by a mysterious group of Arena Masters led by the host.

The game will feature various PvP and PvE game modes, ratings, weapon and gear unlocks, and unique features for owners of the main game Escape from Tarkov, such as the ability to play as your main character.

Interestingly, in addition to PVP, it also includes PVE, which sounds really cool. Owners of premium Escape from Tarkov packs will also receive the game as DLC and will be sold separately. Testing is scheduled to begin later this year.
