Every new emoji that can hit your phone: weird head shaking, goose, moose

Three new heart colors, maracas and a shaking head: the Emoji 15.0 update will include these new emoji and more and will be available on devices this fall.

Ahead of World Emoji Day on July 17, Emojipedia, the emoji reference website, has created sample designs for each emoji candidate that will be approved for widespread use in September. Not all candidates are guaranteed to be approved by Unicode, the worldwide standard for messaging. If so, they might look a little different for once Apple and google add them to their platforms, Keith Broni of Emojipedia wrote in a blog post Wednesday.

Most of the emoji candidates viewed by Emojipedia in recent years have made the latest update lists, Broni added.

Once Unicode approves them in September, it could be a while before they roll out to devices. Emojipedia has released a tentative schedule for the rollout of new emoji.

The final version of Emoji 15.0 will be released in September. From October to December, Google and Android are expected to support the new emoji on their platforms. From January to October 2023, most platforms, such as Apple, Twitter, Samsung, and Facebook, will add support for the emoji.
