Good Things Festival brings metal, punk and emo to Melbourne

Good Things Festival, Australia’s largest alternative rock, metal, punk and emo festival, has announced its dates and venues in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Good things are sure to come to those who wait, with Good Things Festival announcing its return in 2022 with shows at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse, Sydney’s Centennial Park and Brisbane Showgrounds in Brissie.

It’s a good thing that festivals and live music are back on the menu this year, as in December you can close 2022 on a high with Australia’s largest alternative music festival, Good Things Festival, returning to ignite moshpits and more along the east coast .

It took a long time for fans to enjoy some of the best international and local acts from the lands of rock, metal, punk, emo and beyond. The organizers of the 2022 edition, following the triumphant 2019 event, say they have made good use of the time to “cultivate an incredible lineup of acts that will leave any alternative-loving fan weak to their knees”.

We’ll see exactly who they’re talking about when they announce the full lineup on Wednesday, June 15, but suffice it to say that the bumper locations they’ve announced are a good sign that some huge acts are on the program. For reference, in case you’re not already familiar with Good Things, the 2018 lineup was led by The Offspring (Performing ‘Smash’ In Full), Stone Sour, All Time Low, Dropkick Murphys, Bullet For My Valentine and The Used Among others.

The 2022 edition of Good Things Festival will return to their one-day format at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse, followed by Sydney’s Centennial Park and Brisbane’s Showgrounds in the first week of December.

Despite the relentless heat, Good Things has quickly anointed itself as a mainstay of the festival
