On the weekend of Saturday, May 22 to January 2023, you can book a private igloo for up to four guests along the Yarra River and enjoy a cozy high tea experience package provided by Studley Park Boathouse.

In previous years, Studley Park’s igloo experience gave a wintery design that made you feel like you were inside a dome covered in a thin layer of ice. This year, however, Studley Park has transformed their igloo experience into an enchanting winter paradise with a design that now shows off an elegant garden pod covered in ivy-covered ivy and boho inspiration. We are so excited about this refreshing experience and can’t wait to see it for ourselves on our visit this year, but just for this post we will be using photos from our 2021 experience.

A minimum of 2 adults per igloo is required and each adult is $52 per person. The igloos are decked out in comfy chairs, blankets, small tables and lanterns, and fake foliage.

The high tea winter igloo experience at Studley Park includes sweet and savory snacks and unlimited tea and coffee. The scones are particularly large and I like the firm fruit jam when serving.

Children are allowed to order from the cafe’s à la carte menu, which includes some children’s meals.

Each booking takes two hours at 30 minute intervals for their cleaning protocols. However, for $25 per person, you can get the bottomless sparkle and mimosa package, which will allow you to stay for another hour and thirty minutes and really enjoy the view!

After your visit, enjoy the rest of Studley Park, with plenty of walking and cycling trails to explore in a leafy part of Melbourne so close to the city.

Book your winter wonderland high tea experience to visit any day of the week, any time the cafe is open.

Since there are only a small number of igloos, it is best to book your igloo in advance – especially on weekends it gets busy.
