After appearing in the first two seasons of west world† James Marsdenhas been confirmed to return for season 4. HBO made the announcement at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, where Marsden made a surprise appearance on the panel for the show.
There are no details on the circumstances under which Marsden’s Teddy could return, or even if Marsden will play the same character. marsden said:
“Sometimes you have to leave to come back. We learn to talk cryptically about this show. This has been 7 years of our show and yes, it’s great to be a part of it and see where the story goes. From the beginning , I didn’t know where it was all going, but I’m glad to see it now.”
It was also confirmed during the panel is who star Evan Rachel Wood will play another new character in the series. Co-creator and writer of the series Lisa Joy explained that Wood’s Delores is dead, but she wanted to write another character for the actress to play, and that character is a writer.
Furthermore, they did not reveal any real story or plot details. Season 4 of west world also stars Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul, and Angela Sarafyan† Additional cast includes Ariana DeBose† Aurora Perrineau and Daniel Wue†
HBO has also released a new poster for the upcoming season, which premieres on Sunday, June 26 at 9 p.m. ET.
