L’Equipe: Real Madrid compete with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich for French talent

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are battling for a major French deal, which has caught the attention of the three clubs.

The French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Hugo Ekteki, the French player of Reims, is of interest to major clubs across Europe.

Newcastle made an offer of €36million and €10million in bonuses for the 20-year-old, who scored 10 goals last year in what was an injury-ridden season.

But Newcastle is not the only one looking at Ekteke (20 years old), Real Madrid see him as a great player in the future and want to give him time to get used to the atmosphere at the Royal Club and monitor the same way his growth they did with Eduardo Camavinga.

Real Madrid approached the France international’s entourage because the attacker’s agent is said to have been in Madrid in recent days to meet with the club’s management.

PSG is also a potential contender, but he will first have to finish the arrival of new coach Christophe Galtier.

Bayern Munich, which will soon see Robert Lewandowski leave the club, have also expressed interest in the Pactical.

For Reims, Newcastle remain the team of choice for a deal given the nature of their offer, something other clubs are unlikely to match, but no agreement has yet been reached.
