Essendon triumphed over the Sandringham Zebras in Saturday’s VFL action as Kyle Langford returned from injury.
Langford injured his hamstring in round 1 earlier this year and made his comeback at Trevor Barker Oval after a long rehabilitation.
He played an unlimited game, collecting 19 dives and eight points as the Bombers defeated the Zebras by 14 points.
Kaine Baldwin was another impressive factor in the match, the youngster kicking 3.2 from 16 disposals, while James Stewart came in with three goals after playing forward in recent weeks.
Will Snelling also played his first game back from injury, finishing with 11 touches on managed minutes.
He played his only AFL game of the year in round 4.

For the Zebras, after failing to appear as the AFL’s medical replacement Friday night, 19-year-old Marcus Windhager raised his hand again for a top 22 finish with a 31-disposal, two-goal game.
Tom Campbell (20 disposals, 37 hits, nine clearances) and Jarrod Lienert (28 disposals, six points) were also among the best for Sandringham.

In Saturday-afternoon’s other VFL game, Geelong was dominated by Werribee with 69 points.
There were few good performers for the Cats, but Max Holmes impressed with 21 disposals and ten tackles in his first game back from ankle surgery.
Jack Henry and Esava Ratugolea (16 and nine disposals respectively) also made it through the game unscathed in their return from injury.
