English club Manchester United announced its official contract with Argentine Lisandro Martinez today, Sunday, during Ajax Amsterdam’s current summer transfer window.
“Manchester United are pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Ajax on the hiring of Argentine player Lisandro Martinez,” Manchester United said in an official statement.
The statement added: “The deal is expected to be finalized after the player undergoes a medical examination and finalizes the arrangements for his transfer to play in England.”
And press releases previously showed that Manchester United had contracted Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez for 55 million euros until June 2027.
And Fabrizio Romano, a journalist for the “Sky Sport” network, posted on his official page on Twitter that Martinez, who signed a five-year contract, is undergoing a medical examination in Manchester before completing visa procedures, and that the defender will not go to Australia travel, where Manchester’s last two friendlies are played.
Manchester United beat Arsenal, who competed for the inclusion of Martinez, but Dutch coach Ten Hag was a key factor in winning the deal for United.
Lisandro Martinez will be an important deal after Terrell Malacia, who came over from Dutch club Feyenoord, in a deal worth 13 million pounds.
