Ronaldo officially misses Manchester United pre-season tour

League Plus – Manchester United made an official statement on its website, the list that has been called up for the preliminary round in Thailand and Australia.

Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag called up 31 players for the pre-season and the list witnessed the absence of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

In a statement, the club said: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the team delegation that will leave for Thailand as he has been given additional leave to resolve a family problem.”

Ronaldo continued his absence from Red Devils training for the fifth consecutive day after the training camp started last Monday, July 4.

It is noteworthy that Ronaldo has asked his club to let him leave this summer, with Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Roma and Napoli interested in getting his services.

Manchester United will kick off its 2022-2023 Premier League campaign on August 7 by hosting Brighton at Old Trafford.
