Nordisk Film Production appoints Katrine Vogelsang from TV2 as CEO – Deadline

Nordisk Film Production has a new CEO in the form of Katrine Vogelsang, Head of Fiction at TV2. She will form a management unit with Henrik Zein, who will move from the position of chief executive to become COO.

Copenhagen-based Nordisk Film Production, part of Nordisk Film, will see Vogelsang join as new CEO on 15 August. She was Head of Fiction at TV2 in Denmark for the past 11 years.

“Content production of series and movies is an area of ​​great opportunity and challenge,” Nordisk Film CEO Allan Mathson Hansen. “Nordisk Film wants to take the lead in Scandinavia in the coming years and is therefore strengthening the management of Nordisk Film Production. I am delighted that Katrine Vogelsang and Henrik Zein have agreed to forge a strong partnership that, together with the rest of management and colleagues, will provide the best possible foundation for achieving our ambitious 2025 strategy.”

Vogelsang led series development at TV2 and oversaw the broadcaster’s venture into Danish cinema. She will now have overall responsibility for setting the direction of content, talent development and the continued expansion of Nordisk Film Production in the Nordic region.

She will work on an ongoing high volume of productions, explore push-in series, strengthen internal collaboration at Nordisk Film and set the overall direction for external partners, broadcasters and streaming services.

Katrine Vogelsang started her career as a producer at the National Film School of Denmark in 2005 and worked for the Danish public broadcaster DR. She joined TV2 in 2011.
