According to the leaker, NVIDIA RTX 4090 now apparently has base and boost clocks. The RTX 4090 has been found to have a base of 2235 MHz and a boost of 2520 MHz with an actual clock of 2750 MHz (like in-game clock).

Those numbers are impressive compared to the existing RTX 3090 SKU. The base clock alone is 60% higher (vs 1395 MHz) and the boost clock is 49% higher (vs 1695 MHz). That is indeed a noticeable upgrade over the Ampere series.

Given that RTX 4090 has a rumored 16384 CUDA core specification configuration, this means that with the ‘actual’ clock speed of 2750 MHz, the card’s compute performance could reach 90 TFLOPS in single-precision workload. That’s almost exactly twice as high as RTX 3090 non-Ti.

Kopite also reiterates the previously shared specifications of RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 SKUs. Each SKU must have a different GPU, AD103 (RTX 4080) or AD104 (RTX 4070). It appears that RTX 4080 will have a 256-bit memory bus and 16 GB of GDDR6X memory, clocked at the same speed as RTX 4090. Meanwhile, RTX 4070, which is rumored to have 7168 CUDA cores, is said to have 160-bit wide memory. bus and 10 GB GDDR6 18 Gbps memory.

NVIDIA is expected to unveil its RTX 40 series around September or October of this year. Initially, only these three models will be launched, with the mid-range RTX 4060 next year around CES 2023.
