Parents Accuse Ezra Miller Of Nurturing Child With ‘Cult-Like’ Behavior – National

Two parents have accused actor Ezra Miller of looking after their now 18-year-old child from the age of 12 and have filed a legal claim alleging Miller “displays cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior”.

According to TMZ, which broke the original story (later confirmed by several outlets), Miller Tokata met Iron Eyes while visiting the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. At the time of their meeting, Tokata was 12 years old and Miller 23.

Tokata’s parents, attorney and activist Chase Iron Eyes and pediatrician Sara Jumping Eagle, filed the court documents for a protective injunction to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court on Tuesday. Tokata is also a prominent activist, who as a youth leader protested against the proposed route of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

In the file, the parents claim that Miller, who uses pronouns, “had an immediate and seemingly innocent sympathy” when they met Tokata. They claim the relationship with Miller, now 29, later changed, accusing the actor of supplying Tokata with alcohol and drugs when they were a teenager, including marijuana and LSD.

In the legal claim, Tokata’s parents allege that Miller exhibited a “pattern of corrupting a minor.”

They go on to write that Miller also paid for Tokata to attend Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Massachusetts when they were 16 years old. According to People magazine, court documents allege that Miller “would later use this against Tokata to create a sense of guilt”.

After dropping out of school in December 2021, Tokata’s parents claim Tokata has moved in with Miller at their Vermont home. The parents claim that their child did not have a driver’s license, bank cards or keys when they visited Tokata.

According to court documents, after three weeks of “detoxing” Tokata was reunited with Miller at home and traveled with the actor to Hawaii. In April, while in Hawaii, Miller was arrested several times on charges of assault to disorderly conduct.

In the complaint, Tokata’s parents allege that Miller “uses violence, intimidation, threats of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions and drugs to control a young adolescent Tokata.”

Miller has not yet publicly commented on the allegations.

On Monday, Tokata released a statement on Instagram, addressing “the assumptions made on my behalf by my family and friends regarding my stability and otherwise.”

“I quit Bard five months ago, my friend and comrade William passed away shortly afterwards, my mind was incredibly affected and I needed space and time to process grief. My comrade Ezra Miller has provided only loving support and invaluable protection during this period of loss throughout the above era,” Tokata wrote on Instagram.

“My father and his allegations make no sense and are frankly transphobic and based on the idea that I am somehow incapable of coherent thoughts or opinions contrary to those of my own relatives who are concerned about my well-being. I am now aware of the seriousness of the emotional and psychological manipulation I had to endure while in my parental home.

“I’m an adult and I deserve to feel authority in my own body.”

They added that they are seeing a therapist to discuss their anxiety and “probable depression.”

Tokata’s parents told People magazine that their child “doesn’t have a phone”, adding that they doubted the statement came from Tokata.

People also reported that a judge signed Tokata’s parents’ request for a protection order, which means that Miller cannot contact or harass Tokata, Sara or Chase and cannot come within 100 meters of their residence. The warrant has yet to be served on Miller, as the location of the actor and Tokata is unknown.

According to People, a hearing is scheduled for July 12.

In March and April, Miller had several meetings with the Hawaii local police. They were arrested and charged with throwing a chair and hitting a woman on the forehead during a rally. They were previously arrested for disorderly conduct at a karaoke bar in Hilo, Hawaii.

A couple on the island also accused the actor of threatening them at their hostel before they stole their belongings, including a passport and wallet (with several identity documents and a social security card).

The arrests led to a meeting between DC executives to discuss the actor’s future involvement in film projects, with him reprising his role as Barry Allen/The Flash in several DC movies. All DC projects in which Miller was involved were put on hold.

Miller is widely known for their role as Patrick in The benefits of a wallflower are and Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore in the Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts franchisee.
