Pilot escapes injury after emergency plane landing in Sunshine Coast hinterland paddock

A pilot has escaped serious injury after making an emergency landing in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast this morning.

The small plane came down heavily around 10am and landed upside down in a paddock on Melawondi Road near Imbil.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the plane, was not injured in the incident, police said.

Emergency services are on site.
