The latest build for iRacing comes out tomorrow (June 7, 2022) and with that, there is expected to be a lot of new content to jump into. One of the first new cars announced for the new build fell on Monday (June 6, 2022) and it’s a new Radical SR10 for the Radical contingent.
The new Radical SR10 joins the fold alongside Sandown International Raceway, Port Royal Speedway and the new damage model coming to NASCAR NEXT Gen vehicles. It’s also almost confirmed that Fuji Speedway will be released in this build, but that has only been teased on iRacing socials for the past week.
Also, as far as new cars, a teased rear in may that reminds most people of a Mercedes AMG GT4 that might come tomorrow. Again, that’s not confirmed at this time. Only Sandown and this new Radical will get there for sure. We’ll be sure to find out when the build notes come out in the next 24 hours.
This particular vehicle model was launched in September 2020. The Radical Motorsport website shows this Radical SR10 sports car reaching up to 425 bph with a 4-cylinder Ford Ecoboost engine and a Hewland GT3-derived 6-speed gearbox.
This should essentially replace the existing Radical SR8 V8 on the iRacing platform, a car included in the basic membership at the time of this publication. The Radical SR8 V8 was often seen on the roadside of the service. However, some of us have adapted the vehicle for 1.5-mile superspeedway racing in recent years. Racing memes? Could be. Nice as anything though.
