Real Madrid have agreed to transfer Serbian striker Luka Jovic to Fiorentina for free.

Jovic would be loaned to Viola before the Italian club could get Real Madrid’s approval to sign him permanently.

And according to the “Sky Sport Italia” network, Real Madrid agreed to Jovic’s departure to Fiorentina in a free transfer deal, arriving in Florence this week.

The report added that Jovic will be in Florence next Saturday and will sign a two-year contract.

Jovic will receive compensation from Real Madrid, while he will receive a salary of 2.5 million euros per season in Florence until 2024.

Fiorentina has an option to extend the Serbian striker’s contract for a further two years, for 5 million euros per season.

The report indicated that Real Madrid will own 50% of Jovic’s future sales during the first two seasons.

Jovic joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, from Eintracht Frankfurt, for €65 million, but he failed to prove himself, scoring just 3 goals in 47 games.
