It was inevitable, as pre-lists for them leaked, but Capcom has finally confirmed release dates for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (and PC, technically) for upgrades for Resident Evil 2† Resident Evil 3and Resident Evil 7† All three upgrades will be released later on June 13, including the PC patch.

Capcom confirmed that each of these upgrades would now appear in its recent showcase. Each upgrade is free for those who already own the latest generation of the game in question. The upgraded ports have ray tracing and a high frame rate option. PC players will also get a free patch with all the additional improvements, and the PS5 version will have haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support. DLC and saves are also carried over to the new versions. However, physical discs of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are not currently in the plans.
