Scooter shooter opens fire on New York crowd

Two men on a scooter opened fire on a group of people, injuring one during a harrowing camera shot at a corner of the Bronx, police said Saturday.

Four men hung out at a small sidewalk on Wales Ave around 7 p.m. Thursday. near E. 152nd St. in Woodstock when the scooter sped by.

A man who was behind the scooter driver fired multiple shots at the group, causing the victims to run for cover, video of the scene shows.

The victims ducked behind a pair of parked cars, with a man crawling on his stomach off the sidewalk as the scooter hurtled past the intersection, surveillance footage released by police shows.

One of the victims, 28, was hit in the left leg.

EMS rushed the victim to Jacobi Hospital, where he was treated and released.

No arrests have been made.

Police released the surveillance footage on Saturday in the hope that someone might recognize the gunmen.
