A SHOCKING video captures the moment a two-year-old boy was mauled by a ferocious Rottweiler, leaving him with a broken jaw and requiring 200 stitches.
The toddler was rushed to hospital after the horrific attack in Pattaya, Thailand, last week, when the loose 11 stone dog viciously attacked him.
The beast burst out of a house with open gates, where it had barked at the toddler and his four-year-old brother as they passed with their nanny.
The little boys, from France, jumped in terror as the “devil’s dog” made his first lunge at their sitter, but the brute soon turned to the youngest.
It kept the two-year-old in his jaws for a whole minute as strangers desperately tried to knock it away from the terrified child.
The toddler seems to be holding on to what could be a teddy bear as the Rottweiler tears him apart.
At the end of the video clip, a man appears with a piece of metal to knock the dog off the boy.
When three adults finally managed to snatch the beast from the young lad, he already had wounds all over his face and a broken jaw.
Due to the seriousness of his injuries, the child had to be transferred to Bangkok where he received 200 stitches.
The Rottweiler’s owner, Somkiat, 67, said he heard someone screaming and rushed to help.
He told the Mirror: “I ran out of the house to see what was going on and saw the dog attack the boy.
“I grabbed a metal stick to chase the dog away.”
Another neighbor Jet, 39, added: “The owner of this dog needs to be very careful and make sure he is on a leash. He is such a violent dog.”
Police are now investigating the incident.
When questioned, the homeowner claimed they left the gate open to take out the trash, but it ran out as the boys and their nanny passed by.
Police Colonel Kullachat Kullchai of Pattaya Police Station said: “We are still investigating the case and the allegations against the owner.
“We still have to wait for the boy’s medical results before we can finalize the charges.”
