After a long wait, Ubisoft has announced that Skull and Bones will be released on November 8 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.
Skull and Bones was officially announced in 2017, but started development years before that. Based on the naval combat in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Skull and Bones faced numerous delays, missing the first release window of 2018 and every year since then until now.

In Skull and Bones, players take on their own pirate ships. Accept contracts, collect resources and sail the high seas as you attack merchant ships for loot. Different choices will affect a player’s journey, while rising in the pirate ranks will unlock new customizations for your ships.
Players set during the second Golden Age of Piracy can also team up with up to two friends and allow PvP to take on opponents in the open water. Here’s everything you need to know about Skull and Bones, including gameplay details and more.
Ubisoft promises a robust, multi-year post-launch roadmap with regular updates, new content, activities, stories and challenges, all for free.
In addition to the previously announced consoles, Skull and Bones will also be available on Ubisoft+ on PC, Stadia and Amazon Luna. A premium edition includes ‘The Ballad of Bloody Bones Collection’ with various cosmetic items for captains and ships, as well as two extra missions, a digital art book and soundtrack, and a ‘Smuggler Pass’ token.
Pre-orders also unlock the “Highness of the High Sea Pack”, which includes the “Notoriety Garb Captain Outfit” and “Coronation Firework”.
It’s taken a long time, but Skull and Bones is about to cross our waters. Ubisoft also announced a new Ubisoft Forward for this fall with more game announcements and updates.
