Study.. Mbappe is the most valuable player in the world

A report from the International Center for Sports Studies in Switzerland shows that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe is the most valuable footballer in the world, followed by Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior and Erling Haaland, the new Manchester City striker.

Mbappe, who turned down an offer from Real Madrid and last month extended his contract with the French capital club for three years, led the list with an estimated value of 205.6 million euros ($219.5 million).

Vinicius, who scored the goal for Real Madrid to win the Champions League this season, came in second with a value of €185.3 million, followed by Norwegian top scorer Halland, with a value of €152.6 million.

Neymar, Mbappe’s colleague at Paris Saint-Germain, owned the most expensive transfer deal in football history after the French champions paid €222 million to sign the Brazilian player from Barcelona in 2017.

The list of the top five players in the International Center report was completed by the presence of Barcelona player Pedri (€135.1 million), and then Borussia Dortmund midfielder Judd Blingham (€133.7 million).

The International Center for Sports Studies uses a set of indicators, such as age, performance, level development and contract length, to determine the estimated worth of players.

Premier League players dominated this list, with 41 players in the top 100 players.

Manchester City’s Robin Diaz had the highest estimated value of a defender at €109.6 million, while Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma topped the list of goalkeepers with a value of €73.7 million.

City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, 30, was the oldest on the list, with an estimated worth of €57.3 million.
