Summer Games Done Quick returns tonight as an in-person event, the first since Awesome Games Done Quick 2020.
The event, which takes place in Bloomington, Minnesota, will benefit Doctors Without Borders. Games Done Quick is the world’s largest fundraiser for charity, raising tens of millions of pounds for the organization.
Games scheduled include Elden Ring, Control, and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.
You can find the full schedule for the show on the SGDQ 2022 website, which runs through July 3. Most of the show airs on the GDQ Twitch channel.
The show will feature traditional speed runs, but another regular feature of the Games Done Quick events are the fun runs, such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Randomizer – Co-Op 5 Dungeonsanity, in which players try Spikevegeta and Nukkuler to run through the game in less than two and a half hours, as the game throws a random selection of extremely difficult dungeons at them.
Zelda-inspired adventure Tunic makes its GamesDoneQuick debut, with Sunnymuffin attempting to beat the game by a random percentage in under 40 minutes.
One of the show’s longest runs is Froobs’ attempt to complete the hulking Yakuza: Like a Dragon in just 4 hours and 30 minutes.
The game usually lasts 45 hours for the main story alone, so fans will probably be interested to see what glitches are used to avoid 90% of the game.
