The rumbling fish is an arcade fighting game series played in Japan since 2004. Tournaments of the game are still played, showing that it still enjoys some popularity. Now, for the first time, an audience outside of Japan will be able to play the game. 3goo has announced that there will be a worldwide console release of the series in the winter of 2022. Here’s the story synopsis for the games:
At the end of the 20th century… A large-scale natural disaster struck the eastern part of a particular country. The disaster devastated the financial sector and toppled high-rise buildings over a large area, even as far as the main functions of the capital. This resulted in the loss of as many as 158,000 lives.
At the dawn of the 21st century… The PROBE-NEXUS conglomerate, better known as Probe, begins reconstruction efforts in the eastern part of that country. Probe moves his own base of operations into the devastated sector and builds a huge city run by the company. Rich in colossal capital and cutting-edge technology, modern Babylon is made up of skyscrapers that put the old high-rises to shame, the largest shopping center in the world, and recreational facilities that might be mistaken for a theme park. This was the dazzling birth of a symbol for the new century. It became the most essential place on Earth and was christened Zone Prime.
And now, in an undeveloped sector of its western bloc, there was an area known as the slums…
