Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi held the Egyptian Football Federation, headed by Gamal Allam, responsible for the decision to sack Portuguese Carlos Queiroz from coaching the Egyptian national team in front of public opinion.
The Minister of Youth and Sports added, during the “Match” program presented by Hani Hathout on the “Echo of the Country” channel, that the football association has fired Queiroz and made their decision and is responsible for it before of public opinion, adding that we have been able to secure the financial aspect of the coach’s salary. There is no problem.
He indicated that he had provided all the conditions for development, but what would the minister do? It is the responsibility of the person in charge of the administration to be properly managed, and we are responsible for the technical and financial performance.
He went on to say that football is a general mood for the Egyptian people, and that the general assemblies hold those who run the clubs to account, and that we all stand behind the teams, and that it is not the responsibility of one person.
