The world is now ‘looking at China and its behavior’

Former Labor Senator Stephen Conroy says Anthony Albanese’s overseas travels are important in getting the message across that Australia stands with Western democracies against “unjustified invasions”.

The prime minister is flying to Paris tonight ahead of a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“We have some of the most serious geopolitical complex situations we have faced in 30 years,” Mr Conroy told Sky News Australia.

“We need to send a strong signal to China that the world is watching China and its behavior – it is China that made the decision to join Russia, no one made them.”
