On Sunday, in a star-studded event, the 75th annual Tony Awards hosted by Ariana DeBose recognized the best in live theater from the past year by celebrating the achievements of the 2021-2022 season.

Everyone from RuPaul Charles to Michael Jackson’s children, Paris and Prince, took the stage at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall to honor its many nominated productions, including A strange loopwhich was produced by the host of RuPaul’s Drag Raceand MJthe jukebox musical about the life and career of the late pop star.

Other top nominees included Paradise SquareCompanyThe Lehman TrilogySix and For colored girlswhile Billy Crystal, Hugh Jackson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Rachel Dratch, Ruth Negga and Uzo Aduba all compete for individual awards in the performance categories.

The evening lasted over four hours and kicked off with The Tony Awards: Act One, hosted by Darren Criss and Julianne Hough, an hour of exclusive content presented on Paramount+. The celebration then continued on CBS as the 2022 Tony Awards were presented live.

Of course, as every year, there were many surprises and unexpected moments during the ceremony, with Angela Lansbury being one of the most notable guests of honor of the evening. See below for the full list of winners, in bold:
