Open on Friday 24th June and running through Sunday 24th July, the Eynesbury Winter Festival is a place perfect for skating in Melbourne and enjoying some great winter food and drink, plus a whole host of other winter activities.

The month-long winter festival offers so much for families to see and do. In addition to the hourly superstar skating experience, you can also have fun with the live music and performances, wander the winter market and much more.

2. O’Brien Group Arena, Docklands

Known as Australia’s premier Olympic ice sports venue, the O’Brien Group Arena is a HUGE rink with great facilities open all year round for skating. So if you’re looking for some fun skating, Docklands might be the destination for you!

This rink is open seven days a week and offers skating lessons, parties and events and bookings for school groups. It also has its own cafe and bar.

3. Olympic Skating Centre, Oakleigh

Skating enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy the public skating sessions at the Olympic Skating Center. The venue is a training ground for future Olympians and offers free skate rental and free parking.

Formerly known as the Puckhandlers Inline Hockey Stadium, Ice HQ is an indoor ice rink that has been transformed into a state-of-the-art skating center for ice hockey games, lessons, and general skating sessions.

Ice HQ is open daily for ice skating except Wednesdays. However, the schedules of the ice rinks may change from time to time, so it’s best to check before visiting.

The Ballarat Winter Festival is a celebration of the city’s signature season and for 2022, the joyful celebration will take place from June 25 to July 17, 2022!
