Eric Hipwood of Brisbane was found guilty of careless contact on Tuesday evening and was fined $2,500 by the AFL tribunal.
It means that Hipwood can play free against Essendon on Sunday.
The 24-year-old was referred directly to the Tribunal on Thursday evening for a collision with an umpire against the Western Bulldogs.
The Lions attacker on Bulldogs defender Ryan Gardner caused him to collide with referee Jacob Mollison.
Gardner’s clash with Mollison allowed Hipwood to score an unopposed goal within 50 and score a goal in Brisbane’s 41-point win over the Bulldogs.
