Ukraine War: Dramatic Moment When Russian Missile Fails to Launch and Boomerang Back Before ‘Blowing Up Putin’s Forces’

Dramatic video captures the moment when a Russian surface-to-air missile system fires on itself in a bizarre malfunction.

The footage shows the rocket shooting into the air – before spinning in mid-air and returning in a massive explosion to where it came from.

The short clip was reportedly shot in the Ukrainian city of Alchevsk in the Luhansk region, which is occupied by pro-Russian separatist forces and is on the frontline of the war in Ukraine.

It was filmed in the early morning hours when Russian troops reportedly fired a missile to intercept an approaching Ukrainian plane.

However, a few seconds later, the missile was returned to the sender after the tracking system went haywire.

The video shows a massive explosion and bright flashes shooting down from the crash site.

Local reports claim that a fire broke out at the site, not far from residential buildings.

Some have argued that Russia’s own anti-air defense systems could intervene.

The clip was originally shared on the Telegram messaging app by the Face of War channel, which has been posting similar footage since the start of the conflict.

It was also shared by Rob Lee, Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, who tweeted: “These are allegedly images of a failed launch of a Russian air defense system missile from Alchevsk, Luhansk Oblast.”

The exact type of SAM system seen in the images has not been confirmed, but a Russian S-400 missile system will cost about $300 million each.

There is no news yet about any casualties in the explosion.

It is the latest example of horribly malfunctioning Putin’s army equipment.

Earlier today, a Russian military plane crashed, killing four on its way to war in Ukraine.

The Ilyushin-76 military cargo transporter caught fire after refueling before crashing to Earth in the town of Ryazan 200 miles southeast of Moscow.

Three people were killed in the crash and another passenger died in hospital.

The other four passengers are being treated in hospital, where their condition is said to be “serious”.

Russian soldiers were filmed in April complaining about their shoddy gear, while Putin’s troops suffered heavy casualties.

In a viral video, a soldier crushed a Russian helmet with just his foot to show how bad they are.

While Putin’s fighters also shared photos this week of their inferior first aid kits next to the well-stocked Ukrainian to show the contrast.

And some Russian soldiers say they are forced to use the protective equipment of their fallen comrades because of shortages.

In a short video, a Russian recruit complains that his new helmet has the burnt flesh of the previous owner on the inside.

In April, it was revealed that Putin’s forces were repairing planes and drones containing tin-plated equipment, including ready-made cameras, gamepads and navigation systems.

Since the beginning of the war, Russia is said to have lost about 34,000 troops.

So far, the latest war is said to be one of the deadliest in the past 200 years, based on the number of soldiers killed, reports The Washington Post.
