Who Dares Wins star ‘Billy’ Billingham said they are just “terrorists” from a Russian perspective. He added that the British troops who have descended into Ukraine are “causing chaos and getting away with it”. TV star Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham said British men who have traveled to Ukraine to fight Putin are “frustrated people”.

Billy joined the SAS in 1991 and participated in operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, South America and Africa.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he said he was “strong against” foreign fighters becoming involved in the conflict.

He compared the situation to the hodgepodge of international fighters in Bosnia reminding people “how confused and crazy that was”.
He recalled: “While I was there, it made things even worse when foreign fighters showed up.
“It just makes it all more complicated.”
Imprisoning British personnel in Ukraine could give Putin a potential propaganda victory.
Mr Billingham added: “I see it when soldiers go out to train their troops instead of fighting them, something else…it’s not the right time to do it, really.
“They want to go to war, they want to see what it’s all about, and it’s all fine and dandy, but then they’re there and they get caught up in atrocities and all sorts of things.”
