Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is the new Xiaomi tablet on the market, but the special thing about it is that it is a Windows tablet. So it is different from Xiaomi’s Pad 5 which runs on Android. But it’s also similar to Pad 5 in that they’re both Arm-powered. The Book S 12.4 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2. Let’s take a look at the rest of its repertoire.
Xiaomi Book S 12.4 Specifications and Features
The front of the Book S 12.4 is a 12.35-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2560 x 1600, up to 500 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and support for Xiaomi Smart Pen (too are purchased separately). The stylus can be controlled remotely thanks to Bluetooth and two buttons on the body.
Like some other high-end tablets of late, the Book S can also be connected to a smart keyboard that Xiaomi sells separately. So you can use it in laptop mode.
The tablet comes with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. You can have the latest video calls along with noise-cancelling microphones backed by Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology. Speaking of audio, you also get dual stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack on this machine.
There is, among other things, a USB-C connection (with power and display port) and a microSD card reader. In case you’re wondering, yes, the USB-C port is also used to connect the keyboard.
Xiaomi Book S 12.4 India Price and Availability
Book S 12.4 has a price tag of €699 (~ ₹57,276) in Germany and Xiaomi could launch it in other markets as well. The exact details are not yet known.
