Youth fans of Al-Ahly demand that Jardim bypass Al-Hilal during the first conference

The Emirati newspaper, Al-Ittihad, followed the interaction between Leonardo Jardim, the new coach of Al-Ahly youth (the Red Knights) and the fans of the team during the press conference to present it to the media.

The newspaper reported that fans were present at the entrance of the club, eager to receive the Portuguese coach with flowers, as well as attending the Red Knights’ first training session led by the new coach.

As for the introductory press conference, Al-Ahly youth fans demanded that Jardim beat Saudi Al-Hilal (the leader), his former team, with whom he will clash in the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League in February 2023.

It appears that the 47-year-old responded in his own way, through the press conference, to the demands of the Red Knights fans.

Jardim said: “My thoughts are now on building a strong team that will compete for championships. It is too early to talk about the AFC Champions League and going up against the leader.”
